I appreciate your choice of vlogging! I felt that you are really honest and authentic, and you chose a variety of topics that you went into in a lot of detail. You had a variety of philosophical questions, like it is easier to seek the truth that suits all of us.
Good points about how “limited” the chapter was. I am interested to hear your viewpoints on twitter (I wonder if you see any positives in terms of teaching?), I wonder if you are a twitter use for the development of a PLN , or do you use other social media?
Are there more updated and relevant articles that you might suggest? OR are you suggesting that there are some other more relevant ways to question “Crap Detection” in 2020?
I agree that the article is limited, but for a not very techie person, it could be a great start. (and yes, I have some teachers in mind, most of them older or purposely ignorant of technology!) As teachers involved in a Masters of Educational Technology, we should be very aware of ‘crap detection’ already, and know that it is on a sliding scale and dependent on the viewpoint and so many other factors. Even the numbers and modelling by the government of the pandemic need to be taken with a few grains of salt. Enjoyed your vlog!
